Persian Tribal - An Ancient Persian Tradition

Iran has many different countryside villages comprised of tribes (such as Shiraz, Kashghai, Yalama, Turkman, Hamadan, Klim, Baluch, etc) which produce mostly 100% woolen carpets using vegetable dye colors. Tribal carpets are very natural due to the ancient way of life of the tribes. The  tribesmen are very kind and simple and weave these rugs mainly to express themselves and follow an ancient Persian tradition, which dates back 2500 years. Each carpet is one of a kind and has absolutely no duplicates anywhere.

Colors of Tribal rugs are usually predominantly a rich burgundy with some navy blue and ivory. They frequently have a geometric pattern.
